BaÅŸak Ergil is a translator, editor and Translation Studies scholar with an MA in BoÄŸaziçi University and PhD in Istanbul University, both in the field of Translation Studies. She is the author of The Image of Nâzım Hikmet and His Poetry in Anglo-American Literary Systems. Ergil is an activist translation blogger and is the founder of some activist translation blogs. Her main fields of interest and specialization are translation ethics, translation criticism, cultural/collective memory, translation theory and activist translation.
