Qais Akbar Omar is the author of the internationally acclaimed memoir, A Fort of Nine Towers, published in more than 20 countries. A Fort of Nine Towers is a 2014 finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award, and was shortlisted for William Saroyan International Prize.
