On the launch of their new Juhu lounge, Sharann Bathija, founder of Ekaani, said, “We have launched this lounge with a vision to serve luxury connoisseurs and to tap into the ever-rising demand for premium quality products in the country. Ekaani’s mission has been to revive the roots of luxury products by providing our prestigious clientele a royale luxurious product experience. Moreover, our Juhu’s experimental lounge aims at bringing many more international brands to India (we are already in talks with 160 exclusive brands we want to bring to India) and assure their successful promotions intertwined with profitable revenue generation.”

“India is undergoing a transformation; there is a hybridisation of the Indian culture. Indians are striving to find a balance between their old cultural traditions and the new modern changes which are the result of a global economy. It seems Indians have adopted the cultural hybridisation model in response to globalisation with a balanced mix of tradition and modernity. This phenomenon translates to a generation of Indians that are educated in Western management theories and practices, but retain a strong set of traditional Indian values imbibed in them through their Indian upbringing. Keeping in mind this trend, all Ekaani products (even the Indian traditional idols) are built with modern techniques (via modern designers). We offer sturdy and flawless Indian god idols to ensure our audience gets what they want,” he added.

Under Bathija’s leadership, Ekaani has made a name for itself in the list of top suppliers in India. The home decor company is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and is one of the leading sellers of listed products. Bathija, a Bachelor in Finance and MBA, loves travelling and has a special eye for artistic décor.
