Apra Kuchhal

Apra Kuchhal is the founder of We Care, an initiative to promote women, youth, art and culture. We Care organises, co-organises various events related to women empowerment, youth, art and culture. She headed the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries Ladies Organization (FICCI FLO) in 2014-15 as the Chairperson. She is the Executive Secretary of Rajasthan Forum. 

Apra’s businesses vary from export of furniture to hospitality. She had been a soft skill trainer providing training to under privileged women and children free of cost. She also worked for several years for a project of Newspaper in Education, wherein education was provided through newspaper to various sections of the society. During this she realized that it was very important for everyone, specially women, to venture into education, skill recognition and work force development, thus leading to community development. As a result, she took up the task of mentoring women from various walks of life. From self-help groups to ITIs to colleges, she dedicated her life to mentoring.

Apra is an alumna of the Fortune Program 2015. She had been chosen as a woman leader from India to represent in the Fortune/US State Department global mentoring program in 2015. She also represented India at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Asia Summit in Hong Kong in 2016. Apra is the flagbearer of the Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk held in Ajmer every year. Global Mentoring Walk is a walk simultaneously held in 60 countries with over 13,000 participants worldwide who come together across culture, generation, religions to pay it forward through mentorship. 

Apra is also the Rajasthan State Council member of Confederation of Indian Industries. She is an active member of Young Indians, CII. She represented India in UK as an ambassador for cultural peace, understanding and vocational training by Rotary International in 2011 under the Group Study Exchange Program and has received awards of appreciation by the Lord Mayor, Plymouth. Apra is the Charter President of Rotary Club Jaipur Vama. She is the Joint Secretary of RAYS — a Non-Governmental Organization for HIV Positive Kids that provides a safe home for HIV children in Jaipur.
