Doina Ioanid is a writer, translator and journalist. Some of her books include: Duduca de marțipan (The Marzipan Damsel, 2000), Cartea burţilor şi a singurătăţii (The Book of Bellies and Solitudes, 2003), Poeme de trecere (Poems of Passage, 2005), Cusături (Stitches, 2014), Cele mai mici proze (The Little Proses, 2017). Since 2005, Ioanid has been working as senior editor for The Cultural Observer, a leading Romanian weekly newspaper. She lives in Bucharest.
