Priya Sarukkai Chabria

Priya Sarukkai Chabria is an award-winning poet, translator and writer of over ten books of poetry, speculative fiction, literary non-fiction, novels, and translation and, as editor, two poetry anthologies. Andal: The Autobiography of a Goddess (Zubaan, Univ. of Chicago Press) translated from Classical Tamil and the speculative fiction novel Clone have, in particular, garnered awards. She is Founding Editor of the international literary journal Poetry at Sangam. Anthology publications include Another English: Anglophone Poems from Around the World, Adelphiana, Asymptote, Drunken Boat, PEN International, Post Road, Reliquiae, The Literary Review (USA), The Gollancz Book of South Asian Science Fiction, The HarperCollins Book of English Poetry, The British Journal of Literary Translation, Language for a New Century, Voyages of Body and Soul etc. Forthcoming in 2021 with Amazon/Westland is her writing through of a major literary work. She is also completing another poetry collection, and a ‘memoir’, The Book of Photographs.
