Tabish Nawaz is a postdoctoral researcher living in Beaumont, TX. He also writes poem in Hindustani under the pen name "Shajar" which means tree in Urdu. He is beginning his academic career in India starting in August as an Assistant Professor at IIT Bombay. His poems, short stories and articles have been published in The Conversation, The Bangalore Review, Spark, Flash Fiction Magazine, Indian Review, Financial Express, Kritya, Temper Literary Review and eFiction India.
