Vikram Kapur

Vikram Kapur is the author of three novels — The Assassinations (2017), The Wages of Life (2004) and Time Is a Fire (2002). He edited the anthology 1984, In Memory and Imagination (2016). His short fiction and non-fiction have been published in India and abroad in several notable publications which include, among others, World Literature Today, Wasafiri, Litro UK, Ambit, New Writing, The Huffington Post, The Times of India, The Hindu, Firstpost, The Wire and Frontline. His short stories have been shortlisted or longlisted in several international competitions, including, among others, the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. He is currently Professor of English at Shiv Nadar University. He has a PhD in creative and critical writing from the University of East Anglia.
