A Dream
Whooshing through my door
It came in and settled
On the pillow of my bed,
It started slipping into my mind,
Every night when I fell asleep
It showed me vivid pictures,
It stood up every morning with me
And danced randomly in daytime
In front of my eyes,
It felt sometimes spooky
When it came along everywhere
In the back of my mind,
It made me fall in love with it,
Wrapped up itself with my thoughts
And I developed its habit,
It dissolved itself in my blood
Started coursing through my veins
And became my heartbeat.
Impatient, Are We?
They say we rush
From the morning
Have they seen us
When we sit
With the rising sun
Before we rush
They claim we check
Our mobiles often
Do they know
That we wait
For our people
Across the globes
They say we run
When the day ends
Have they seen
The faces that await
At our homes
With hope in hearts
They claim we’ve lost
Forbearance in the world
That constantly sprints
Do they know?
We wait for years
Before taking that leap
They ask us to stop
For once in a while
To install some patience
When all we do is wait
I ask you about us-
Impatient, are we?
Ocean
Let’s go on a ride
Of the infinite world
With no boundaries
And nothing to unfurl,
Where waves will hit
Our vessel of love
Hushing all sounds
Under and above,
Stars will shimmer
On surface all day
We’ll try to take in
How corals make the way,
We’ll witness dawns
And the sunset colours
Royal shades of nature
And how the wind whirls,
Hold my hand
While we sail in tandem
Look into my eyes
Together we will hum,
The song of the sea
And melody of water
Listen to the hymn of mermaid
That describes her shelter,
We will glide into universe
That will have us
Along with some salt water
And our love in bonus,
Boundless ocean
Will take us away
With soft ripples
Keeping the world at bay.
Poem to Our Son
When you will get
This paper in your hand
You will be mature
Enough to understand,
There will be a mountain
Awaiting for you to climb
You will turn around
And our eyes you will find,
You will lead alone
There will be valleys
On the road above
There mightn’t be any allies,
But our hands will be there
To hold you when you stumble
We will be behind
Even when you fumble,
You will have our strength
You will be brave
You can even cry
And run your waves,
People might be cruel
But you be kind
World will hide faces
But don’t be blind,
You will be different
Such people might be few
Don’t worry of being a misfit
You just be you.
Revolution
Leaving the outsides
When one starts
To revolve
Around one’s own axis
A revolution happens.
Leaving the judgement
When one starts
To revolve
Around one’s own thoughts
A revolution happens.
Leaving the worldly misery
When one starts
To revolve
Around one’s own happiness
A revolution happens.
Leaving all the complains
When one starts
To revolve
Around one’s own actions
A revolution happens.
Leaving mundane hatred
When one starts
To revolve
Around one’s own love
A revolution happens.
Leaving all the chaos
When one starts
To revolve
Around one’s inner peace
A revolution happens.
