Barnali Ray Shukla is a filmmaker and a poet. Her writing has appeared in various national and international magazines and anthologies. As writer-director, her work includes one feature film, three documentaries, and two short films. Her book of poems, Apostrophe, was published by RLFPA in 2016. Her new Hindi feature film, Joon, premiered  in September 2022 in Bolivia, and bagged awards at Bolivia, Sweden, Japan, Indonesia, UAE, Ukraine, France and India.
