Bhawna Vij Arora
Dr Bhawna Vij Arora is an Assistant Professor of English at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Delhi, affiliated with GGSIP University. As a pedagogue she has taught at Delhi Technological University, Netaji Subash University of Technology Delhi, Northern India Engineering College East Delhi, and Bharti College, Delhi University as a Visiting faculty. She was a Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant at Yale University in the year 2015 to 2016. She has also made a documentary project under the aegis of the Digital Media Centre for the Arts (DMCA) at Yale University. She has published her critical essays in national and international journals and has presented papers at several national and international conferences. Her area of research and interest include Cultural Studies, Ethnocentric Literature, Indian Women’s Poetry, Cinema of Resistance, and Documentary Studies. She describes herself as a scribbler in her own mental world, juggling as a pragmatic academic and a practicing and passionate poet. This verse-artisan largely looms in her head and in her private world. She has published her pieces in the South Asian Ensemble, a peer-reviewed Canadian Quarterly of Arts, Literature and Culture, The Wire India, Indian Periodical, etc.
