Ubeer Naqushbandi is a young journalist based in Kashmir. He has been covering conflict, politics, art, environment, business, health, sports and other aspects of the region. He has worked with popular weekly magazine Kashmir Life and also with daily Kashmir Reader newspaper, besides contributing for online portals. Ubeer is currently working with The Indian Express in Kashmir. He is deeply influenced by the works of Ernest Hemingway, Fyodor Dostoevsky, George Orwell, Munshi Premchand, Anton Chekhov, Franz Kafka and other serious writers.
