Abdul Jamil Urfi studied at Aligarh, Delhi and in England. He was the campus correspondent for Youth Times (a Times of India publication), Editor of The Aligarh Magazine, published by the Department of English, AMU, and the drama critic for Ensemble 80 — a festival of the university Drama Club. He published Memoirs of the bygone century, Beeswin Sadi- Growing up in Delhi during the 1960’s and 70’s (Kindle Direct Publishing, 2021), which was extracted and reviewed in The Friday Times, Firstpost, India of the Past, Caleidescope, New Asian Writing, Scroll.in and The Quint.
