Niranjana H is the Founder and Right Brain at Sonder. Filmmaker, author, and slow-travel romantic, Niranjana tells stories across mediums, from indie films to stories that smell faintly of old bookshops. A lifelong Japan-dreamer and certified Nihongo-phile, she started a travel brand Sonder as a way to bottle the quiet wonder of Japanese travel for those who seek stories, not itineraries. When she’s not directing or writing, she’s probably scribbling notes in a Kyoto kissaten or sipping umeshu in a tiny bar no tourist ever finds. Sonder is her love letter to Japan and the people who like their travels a little offbeat, a little soulful, and a little cinematic.  Her work often explores how language, memory, and travel entwine. She collaborated with the Indo-Japanese Association to bring Sonder’s vision to life crafting immersive experiences that honour cultural depth while remaining intimate, intuitive, and deeply human.
