RR Décor, one of India’s finest luxury textile brands, is known for its outstanding handwoven silk fabrics. The brand focuses on the unique, original and exclusive design of its furnishings and upholstery fabrics. It has a strong design department where a team of designers, artists and stylists put together their ideas for some of the most innovative outcomes.
Rohit Khemka, the founder of RR Décor, is a textile editor. His journey started with Bhagalpuri silks. He designs fabrics and travels across the globe in search of some unique fabrics and designs. At ‘The Design Edit,’ which was held recently at the Bikaner House in Delhi, he launched several international fabric brands that he’d be bringing to India. He also launched seven books of wallpapers, three books of murals and Soho-cut fabric from China. RR Decor recently announced their collaboration with six international brands known for their upholstery fabrics and wallpapers: Milano Tessuti, Persan, Versace 1969, Evo, SketchTwenty3 and Portfolio. RR Decor will be the exclusive distributor of these six international brands in India.
Here is a look at the six international brands that RR Décor will introduce to its Indian clientele:
Milano Tessuti: The fabric brand was founded in 2014 by Orietta Matarazzo. The style and design is a reflection of Orietta’s education and design sensibilities. The brand is about a new concept of living and part of her tradition. The yarns are natural and the colours and texture are either plain or have micro-motifs. The brand exudes ‘Made in Italy Design’ characteristic that is popular the world over. They launched two new collections this year.

Persan: A leading brand in the decoration fabric market, it was established in 1975 by three brothers. They were inspired by their father, who was a textile dealer and had a small shop in Istanbul. They have stores across Turkey and their products are available worldwide through a strong network of distributors. They regard creativity and innovation as their highest quality. Persan has more than 7,000 fabrics and also represents some global brands.
SketchTwenty3: Tim Wilman’s SketchTwenty3 is an internationally acclaimed wall-coverings company based in northwest England with design, innovation and quality at its core. Since 2012, it has been delivering luxury collections of contemporary wall-coverings to the interior market providing customers with a new and luxurious decorative experience. Their collections are exclusively designed by an in-house design team whose focus is on creating unique papers with exquisite designs in elegant colours that are combined with special techniques and effects such as glass-beaded products and unique handwoven grasscloths.
Portfolio: Angelo Carillo’s name has been synonymous with mastery and excellence in the home textile sector since 1952. The brand finds Italian shears designed exclusively for niche markets, serving high-end quality products. Every single intertwining of weft and warp of AC’s products is conceived in-house at the design centre, located in the textile district of Nola. The excellent Made in Italy craftsmanship reflects on the final products.

Versace 1969: Versace Home mixes the heritage with the modern, ancient Greek with pop culture. The latest collection features living and embracing bedroom furniture with gold tone Medusa and ornamental curved and elegant shapes. The extravagant Versace Home universe has always translated the glamorous codes of its fashion term, where one might need it for the home. The Versace Home collection proves that the brand is constantly adding an innovative edge to its storied heritage.
Evo: Damaceno & Antunes is a textile brand based in Portugal that specializes in the creation of decorative fabrics and wallpapers. Evo is essentially a publishing brand with exclusive and unique designs developed by a team of Portuguese designers, who work on the philosophy of transmitting to the decoration fabrics the Portuguese heritage and culture. The Evo collection came into being in 2007 with the purpose of dominating the high decoration and international markets. Each collection that is created and designed by the brand is exclusively inspired by the beauty of Portugal.
RR Décor also houses four unique brands curated by Khemka catering to different customer needs, along with a few international brands, under the RR Décor umbrella. These are Arezzo, Rasaya, Essentials and Limited Edition.
